Morning Bircher Muesli Mix

At times my life tends to be a little bit disorganized and chaotic, but I try my best to keep my sh*t in order. When I have a bit of free time, I try to get organized to make the days ahead easier. A way that I accomplish this is by having prepped food, or the ingredients for easy-to-prepare food, on hand at all times if possible. Keeping a jar of Bircher Muesli Mix in my pantry makes prepping a healthy breakfast so easy! All you need is some milk, yogurt, and bircher mix to make a delicious overnight meal.
How to Make Bircher Muesli
I have been making various concoctions of bircher muesli throughout the years, but this is my favourite basic recipe. If you want to get fancy, you can add additional spices, different nuts or seeds (or both!), and whatever dried fruit you feel like. I will note that dried apple is very nice in bircher muesli.
I love traditional oatmeal too, but I find bircher to be more convenient, and it is quite nice on a hot summer morning or if you have just worked out and have a case of the post-shower sweats. I top my bircher with a combination of some of the other staples in my diet: almond butter and frozen blueberries. I usually enjoy a big bowl of frozen blueberries with a big scoop of almond butter mixed in at least once a day. Don’t knock it until you try it!
