Earl Grey Overnight Oats

Earl Grey Overnight Oats

Overnight oats are one of the easiest make-ahead breakfast. But sometimes I find myself getting tired of all the same old combos. Enter: Earl Grey Overnight Oats. This recipe integrates one of my favourite things, Earl Grey tea, to create a fresh take on classic

Big Cozy Vibes Tahini Granola

Big Cozy Vibes Tahini Granola

I always like to keep a batch of Big Cozy Vibes Tahini Granola in my kitchen for easy grab-and-go snacking and meals. There were a fair number of nights (more than I’d like to admit) during my fall semester where I found myself chowing down on a large bowl of granola at 10pm after teaching my Monday first-year business lab, nights when I simply had too much to do and not enough time to cook. In the fall I was literally flying through this granola; I had to make a new batch almost every week. If I had to pick one recipe that I make consistently, this would be it. To say that tahini granola is a pantry staple for me would be an understatement. Continue reading Big Cozy Vibes Tahini Granola

Mixed Berry Yogurt Pots

Mixed Berry Yogurt Pots

Not a word of a lie, this recipe helped me get through finals. Finals are a very strange time of the year, since you no longer have classes it feels like you have more time than you know what to do with, but also not

On-the-Go Greens Scramble

On-the-Go Greens Scramble

Now a days it’s all about ease and convenience. I can definitely relate. This semester has been a total whirlwind of assignments, midterms, exams, and a little bit of fun too, making it difficult to find spare time to do anything for myself. One commitment

Morning Bircher Muesli Mix

Morning Bircher Muesli Mix

At times my life tends to be a little bit disorganized and chaotic, but I try my best to keep my sh*t in order. When I have a bit of free time, I try to get organized to make the days ahead easier. A way that I accomplish this is by having prepped food, or the ingredients for easy-to-prepare food, on hand at all times if possible. Keeping a jar of Bircher Muesli Mix in my pantry makes prepping a healthy breakfast so easy! All you need is some milk, yogurt, and bircher mix to make a delicious overnight meal.

Mixed Berry Summertime Scones

Mixed Berry Summertime Scones

Nothing says summer to me like fresh, local produce. I’ve grown vegetables for years and have always found it to be very rewarding as well as very fun. When I was a little kid living in Toronto, my best friend Jenny and I used to

Four Easy + Refreshing Juices

Four Easy + Refreshing Juices

‘Tis the season, for cold juices that is. With the past few days climbing up to the high twenties I’ve been a big fan of pressed juices. Buying fresh juice can be pretty pricey, which I find to be strange considering how, relatively, inexpensive it

Super-seeded Hemp Heart Granola

Super-seeded Hemp Heart Granola

Back in the summer I did a bit of housesitting for my aunt while she was away on holiday with her family. I was in charge of looking after the house and her two dogs: Charlie, a Rhodesian Ridgeback and Tucker, a Corgi. For the few weeks that I was there I had a pretty good routine going. My aunt lives on a golf course, so there are plenty of nice trails to walk on. Every morning after breakfast and every night after dinner Charlie, Tucker and I would set out for a nice long walk. We’d walk down to the end of the golf course and back twice each day, each walk being about four kilometres long. That ma seem like a really long walk, but it was so nice. I saw some beautiful sunrises and sunsets on that walk as well as some fantastic wildlife. I miss the warm weather and my long walks with the dogs. It’s kind of funny because I think I walked Jen’s dogs more in one summer than I’ve ever walked my own. I have no idea why that is, but it’s the truth. Big, Bright Layered Beet Smoothie Jars

With Easter coming up and spring just around the corner I thought it would be fun to share a more vibrant recipe to help me get over my serious case of the winter blues. Lately I’ve been really into making myself big smoothies for breakfast,
