Root Vegetable & Egg Skillet

Root Vegetable & Egg Skillet

Brunch food is my favourite category of food—anything brunch and I’m in—specifically savoury brunch food. When I was in university, I used to order this potato and egg breakfast skillet from our on-campus restaurant, and it was so good; tbh, I could go for that

Moroccan Spiced Roasted Cauliflower

Moroccan Spiced Roasted Cauliflower

When I was in Brighton, England, in early 2024, my friend and I stopped in at this adorable cafe/restaurant to get lunch and take refuge from the British rain relentlessly falling outside. On the menu they had a spiced cauliflower dish served with fluffy hummus,

Brothy Beans & Greens

Brothy Beans & Greens

Brothy beans are far from a new phenomenon. For the past few years, I’ve seen so much hype for brothy beans from fellow recipe developers and cooks, so I was convinced to see what all the fuss was about. Can I just say, WOW! For something so simple—literally just beans, some aromatics, and a bunch of water—brothy beans have so much flavour, a beautiful texture, and feel like such a sophisticated dish. This Brothy Beans & Greens is my take, which leans more towards a soup/stew with the inclusion of kale. Continue reading Brothy Beans & Greens

Dirty Chai Tiramisu

Dirty Chai Tiramisu

Tiramisu is a top-three dessert for me, and you know what is even better than classic tiramisu? Dirty Chai Tiramisu. Perhaps tiramisu is a dessert you usually reserve for ordering at an Italian restaurant and may feel a bit intimidating to make from scratch, but

Butter Chickpeas

Butter Chickpeas

Butter chicken, a classic and beloved Indian dish, was my gateway dish into loving Indian food. Butter Chickpeas is my vegetarian twist on the classic dish. I use chickpeas in place of chicken as the protein and cashew cream to keep things a tad bit

Caramelized Onion, White Bean, and Feta Dip

Caramelized Onion, White Bean, and Feta Dip

The holiday season can come with some serious cooking burnout and dish decision fatigue. If you’re struggling to make it to the finish line and can’t stand the thought of making one more dish, might I suggest this Caramelized Onion, White Bean, and Feta dip? It’s five ingredients—seven if you include the salt and pepper—and comes together easily in a blender or food processor to produce the most pillowy and delicious dip. Bring it to NYE, a girls’ night, or a work potluck with a bag of chips and some sliced veggies, and voilà, you’ll receive nothing but compliments! Frizzled Green Beans with Crispy Shallots

Frizzled Green Beans with Crispy Shallots

My family has been making some version of frizzled green beans as a holiday side dish for years. This year I decided to level the recipe up with the addition of crispy shallots, and the result is epic. With just seven ingredients and under 25

Fall Harvest Salad

Fall Harvest Salad

I’m a planner, which means I like to plan out a schedule for content and recipes far in advance of the season they would be shared in, but sometimes in the middle of the season, ideas pop into my head that are just too good

Sourdough Apple Fritter Focaccia

Sourdough Apple Fritter Focaccia

I have had many requests to share this Sourdough Apple Fritter Focaccia recipe—mostly from my roommate’s coworkers. The concept for this recipe was born last fall when I experimented with the addition of apples and cinnamon to my sourdough focaccia. As you can imagine, the result was delicious, and, to my surprise, it really reminded me of an apple fritter (my favourite donut). The dough gets this beautiful crispness on the outside from the hot pan, which lends the illusion of a fried dough without the act of frying. Continue reading Sourdough Apple Fritter Focaccia

Honeynut Squash Rigatoni

Honeynut Squash Rigatoni

‘Twas the fall of 2024, and I had created a recipe failure of mass proportions. The silver lining to this culinary atrocity was that it inspired the pivot that led to this Honeynut Squash Rigatoni, which, I am happy to report, is far from a
