Frizzled Green Beans with Crispy Shallots

Frizzled Green Beans with Crispy Shallots

My family has been making some version of frizzled green beans as a holiday side dish for years. This year I decided to level the recipe up with the addition of crispy shallots, and the result is epic. With just seven ingredients and under 25

Fall Harvest Salad

Fall Harvest Salad

I’m a planner, which means I like to plan out a schedule for content and recipes far in advance of the season they would be shared in, but sometimes in the middle of the season, ideas pop into my head that are just too good

Sourdough Apple Fritter Focaccia

Sourdough Apple Fritter Focaccia

I have had many requests to share this Sourdough Apple Fritter Focaccia recipe—mostly from my roommate’s coworkers. The concept for this recipe was born last fall when I experimented with the addition of apples and cinnamon to my sourdough focaccia. As you can imagine, the result was delicious, and, to my surprise, it really reminded me of an apple fritter (my favourite donut). The dough gets this beautiful crispness on the outside from the hot pan, which lends the illusion of a fried dough without the act of frying. Continue reading Sourdough Apple Fritter Focaccia

Honeynut Squash Rigatoni

Honeynut Squash Rigatoni

‘Twas the fall of 2024, and I had created a recipe failure of mass proportions. The silver lining to this culinary atrocity was that it inspired the pivot that led to this Honeynut Squash Rigatoni, which, I am happy to report, is far from a

Pumpkin Bread

Pumpkin Bread

Fall is in full swing here on the west coast; the leaves are changing, there’s a crispness to the air, and I am craving all things cozy. Filled with warming spices, velvety pumpkin puree, and a brown sugar topping, my gluten-free Pumpkin Bread has been

Fennel and Apple Slaw with Tangy Dijon Dressing

Fennel and Apple Slaw with Tangy Dijon Dressing

I have to confess, I have been a fennel hater pretty much my whole life. Despite this, I had the bright idea to develop a very crisp and autumnal cabbage-based salad with apple and fennel. I know, I even surprised myself with this! I couldn’t shake the idea, and now here we are. Another confession: this Fennel and Apple Slaw with Tangy Dijon Dressing may just be my gateway to fennel acceptance. The thinly sliced apples, cabbage, and fennel pair so beautifully together, and the Dijon dressing really just ties it all together with a big fat bow. If you’re a fennel hater like I was, this salad just might change your mind. Continue reading Fennel and Apple Slaw with Tangy Dijon Dressing

Spring Roll Salad

Spring Roll Salad

Summer is wrapping up soon (sorry to be the bearer of bad news!), but I’m still hanging on to cooling and fresh recipes for just a little bit longer. Inspired by fresh spring rolls, my Spring Roll Salad is a chilled noodle salad with crisp

Corn Salad with Fresh Mozzarella and Peaches

Corn Salad with Fresh Mozzarella and Peaches

In my opinion, when it comes to produce, July and August are the best months of the year. I’ve been leaning heavily into the season’s best, making crumbles, salads, and eating any piece of stone fruit I can find! To celebrate this glorious season, I

Tzatziki Dip

Tzatziki Dip

I’ve been making tzatziki at home for years, so I thought it was time for me to finally share a recipe here! Tzatziki dip comes together in ten minutes with just a handful of ingredients, resulting in the creamiest and most refreshing dip. I love making tzatziki in the summer because no cooking and minimal prep are required. Continue reading Tzatziki Dip

Five-Spice Crispy Tofu Cutlets with Smashed Cucumber Salad

Five-Spice Crispy Tofu Cutlets with Smashed Cucumber Salad

There is a restaurant where I am from that makes a delicious five-spice crispy tofu, which they serve in a fluffy bao bun. I wanted to recreate those perfect pieces of perfectly seasoned and crispy tofu at home, which was the inspiration behind these five-spice
