Four Easy + Refreshing Juices
‘Tis the season, for cold juices that is. With the past few days climbing up to the high twenties I’ve been a big fan of pressed juices. Buying fresh juice can be pretty pricey, which I find to be strange considering how, relatively, inexpensive it is to make for yourself at home.
I like making juice all throughout the year, but I produce the most juice in the late spring and summer (aka now). After a particularly hot nine hour shift at the bakery yesterday, I rushed home and started juicing up a storm! I kid you not when I say I was juicing pretty much everything in sight.
Here I have compiled my four favourite juices, at the moment, to share with you all. These are wonderful to have on hand for a refresher when you are in need. The different juices can be seen in the photo below and are flavoured as follows: Carrot Ginger (top left), Loaded Green Juice, Refreshing Pineapple + Cucumber Juice, and Hot-Pink Beet and Ginger Juice (bottom right).
The Carrot Ginger Juice is my go-to for when I’m feeling less than great and am in need of a system reset. The turmeric, ginger, and cayenne give it a nice little “kick” and the pineapple and carrot combo makes for an earthy and sweet flavour.
The Loaded Green Juice is much less sweet, but still delicious. I reach for it when my body is in need of a big dose of greens.
The Refreshing Pineapple Cucumber Juice is very simple and refreshing. It would make a perfect pairing with an afternoon on the dock or by the pool (can you tell that I’m a dreaming of summer?).
Last, but certainly not least, the Hot-Pink Beet + Ginger Juice has a delicious earthy flavour with a lovely, sweet undertone.

Ingredients
Carrot Ginger Juice
- 4 large carrots
- 2 inches fresh turmeric root
- 2 inches fresh ginger root
- 1/2 pineapple, peeled and chopped
- a pinch fresh black pepper + cayenne pepper
Loaded Green Juice
- 2 packed cups spinach
- 4 celery stalks
- 2 medium apples
- 1/2 cucumber
- 2 inches fresh root ginger
Refreshing Pineapple + Cucumber Juice
- 1/2 pineapple, peeled and chopped
- 1 cucumber
- 2 inches fresh root ginger
Hot-Pink Beet + Ginger Juice
- 2 large beets, scrubbed and chopped
- 3 large apples
- 2 inches fresh root ginger
Instructions
- Prep the fruits and vegetables for juicing.
- Feed the veggies and fruits through your juicer. Transfer the juice to an airtight jar and store in the fridge. Shake well before drinking!
