Photo Journal No. 2: Florence + the Machine High as Hope Tour, 2019
As some of you may have realized, these photos are a couple years old. I was scrolling through my blog the other day reading through old posts and reminiscing on past adventures, one of which was my first experience seeing Florence + the Machine live in concert back in 2016. I don’t know about you, but since Covid started ruling our lives almost a year ago (how has it been a year?!) I started living vicariously through my old photos and memories to give me something to look forward to when life is able to resume. I realized that I never shared the photographs that I captured during my second experience seeing Florence live, so I invite you to take a walk down memory lane with me to the evening of May 26th, 2019.
On the morning of May 26th, Ri (my forever concert buddy) and I hopped in the Fit (the most epic adventure vehicle out there) and made the two hour trip down to the city for another concert adventure, blasting Florence + the Machine the whole way there of course. We were set to spend the night at Ri’s Aunt’s house down by the waterfront in Toronto. The weather was warm and beautiful, which inspired Ri to suggest that we travel to the concert by bike (the venue was Budweiser Stage) on the Martin Goodman Trail along the water. Biking to and from the concert was an absolute thrill and I’d highly recommend that you try it if the opportunity to do so ever presents itself to you.
As to be expected, the night was incredible. Florence’s voice was more beautiful than I remembered and her stage presence was larger than life. I can’t wait until I have the opportunity to experience it again. And now, the part that we’ve all been waiting for, the pictures!
