Photo Journal No. 2: Florence + the Machine High as Hope Tour, 2019

As some of you may have realized, these photos are a couple years old. I was scrolling through my blog the other day reading through old posts and reminiscing on past adventures, one of which was my first experience seeing Florence + the Machine live

DIY At Home Shawarma (aka Fake Lazeez)

DIY At Home Shawarma (aka Fake Lazeez)

When I’m at school I love to get Shawarma from a chain called Lazeez. I discovered this glorious chain (which is conveniently located around the corner from my home!) last year and it’s been an epic love affair ever since.

Fragrant Brown Lentil Dahl

Fragrant Brown Lentil Dahl

Hello all! Disclaimer: I am fully aware that June is in full swing and that the weather is, on average, quite consistently hot at this point and this recipe may seem to be better suited for colder temperatures, but I’m here to tell ya that cozy food can be enjoyed in the heat too. I personally love eating spicy food anytime of the year, but also during hot weather. Continue reading Fragrant Brown Lentil Dahl

I’ve decided to try something a little bit different. I don’t know if I’ve ever mentioned this before, but before Olive + Wisteria was Olive + Wisteria, it was local adventures and it was a tumblr page dedicated to sharing my photography, quotes I like, books, and thoughts.

So, I have a kinda funny story for you all. Well, my life is all kind of a funny story, but this situation really takes the cake. Leading up to Christmas holidays I was experiencing discomfort in my lower jaw near the back of my

Cozy Oatmeal + Cranberry Cookies

Cozy Oatmeal + Cranberry Cookies

With my personal week from hell now officially behind me, I am in a rather celebratory mood and what better way to celebrate than with cookies? But now it’s behind me and I have time to cook and enjoy my life again (yay!). Continue reading Cozy Oatmeal + Cranberry Cookies

Warming Veggie Noddle Soup

Warming Veggie Noddle Soup

Well, it’s finally starting to feel like fall and I don’t just mean because of the weather. At this point every one of my roommates (including myself) has been sick, midterms are getting ready to kick my ass and it gets dark before 8pm.

End of Summer Pesto Pasta

End of Summer Pesto Pasta

This has been my go-to meal all summer and continues to be now. Before I left for school I made a huge batch of pesto and froze it to enjoy throughout my fall semester. This recipe is super easy and tasty. I may be a

Strawberry Rhubarb Crumble Loaf

Strawberry Rhubarb Crumble Loaf

This Strawberry Rhubarb Crumble Loaf highlights what is – in my opinion – the queen of summer produce: Ontario strawberries. Strawberry picking has become an annual tradition for me. I love being able to take advantage of the fantastic summer produce that is grown within 20km of my back door. I also love a good daytime outing in the warm summer sunshine with a close pal 🙂 Continue reading Strawberry Rhubarb Crumble Loaf

Salted Caramel Dream Bars

Salted Caramel Dream Bars

A few months back I was at Shoppers Drug Mart with some friends and made the happy discovery that my all-time favourite dark chocolate was on sale. Usually I can deter myself from buying chocolate simply because it is so damn expensive, but it was
