When the sun is shining and the summer heat is sweltering, I love a good no-bake snack. This Easy Mango Salsa comes together in 20 minutes and is the perfect summer snack or taco accompaniment. Sweet mango is beautifully contrasted with spicy jalapeño and tangy lime in this delicious summer dip.

How to Make Easy Mango Salsa

Mango salsa is one of my favourite snacks to make during the summer months for two reasons: 1. it’s delicious, and 2. it is so simple to make – no fancy equipment or ingredients required!

Ingredients

This salsa recipe only requires 5 ingredients and 20 minutes to make. To make the salsa you will need:

  • Ripe, but firm mango
  • Red onion
  • Jalapeño pepper
  • Cilantro
  • Lime juice
  • Tajin seasoning

What Should I Serve with Easy Mango Salsa?

I have two favourite pairing for this salsa:

  1. Tortilla Chips – No need to reinvent the wheel when it comes to what to serve alongside a nice, fresh salsa! I love to serve my salsa with a big bowl or tortilla chips to be enjoyed out on the deck or dock in the sunshine.
  2. Tacos – As with any salsa, this Easy Mango Salsa is a natural pairing for tacos. I love using this salsa as a topping for chicken, shrimp, or black bean tacos.

Prepare the Salsa Ingredients

To prepare the salsa, dice the mango and red onion and add these to a serving bowl.

Mince the jalapeño pepper, roughly chop the cilantro. and add these to the serving bowl as well.

Season the Mango Salsa

Season the salsa by squeezing the juice of one fresh lime over the ingredients.

Next, sprinkle over some Tajin seasoning.

Toss, Serve, and Enjoy!

Toss the salsa until the ingredients are combined, taste, and adjust the seasoning as needed.

Serve with tortilla chips or tacos and enjoy!

The salsa will keep in the fridge for up to three days, but is best when enjoyed the same day it is made.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups ripe, but firm mango, diced
  • 1 cup red onion, finely diced
  • 1 Jalapeño pepper, minced
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
  • Juice of one lime
  • Tajin seasoning, to taste

Instructions

  • Prepare the salsa by dicing the mango and red onion then adding both to a serving bowl. Mince the jalapeño and chop the cilantro. Add both to the bowl with the mango and red onion.
  • Squeeze the lime juice over the other ingredients, season the salsa with Tajin seasoning, then toss well to combine.
  • Serve immediately with tortilla chips or tacos, or store in the fridge for up to three days.
