Tzatziki dip is super simple to make at home. With just seven ingredients and 10 minutes, you can make your own delicious and creamy tzatziki dip. With minimal prep and no cooking required, this is the perfect snack for hot summer days!
1/3cupfinely grated and drained cucumber(see instructions below.)
2garlic cloves, grated
1/4teaspoonfine sea salt
Fresh black pepper, to taste
1/2teaspoonfresh lemon juice
1teaspoonolive oil
Instructions
Prepare the Cucumber
Using a microplane grater, finely grate the cucumber. I used two Persian cucumbers to make this recipe and found they yielded the appropriate amount.
Place a fine mesh sieve over the sink or a clean mixing bowl. Transfer the grated cucumber to the sieve. Allow to drain for 5 minutes, then squish any excess liquid out with your hands. Make sure you have 1/3 cup of shredded cucumber after it has been strained.
Prepare the Tzatziki Dip
Add the thick Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, grated garlic, sea salt, pepper, and lemon juice to a small mixing bowl. Whisk well to combine.
Transfer the tzatziki to a serving bowl. Top with the olive oil and a bit of flaky salt (optional). Serve with fresh vegetables, pita bread, or crackers. The tzatziki will keep in the fridge for up to five days.
