Barcelona on a Budget: A Three-Day Itinerary

Barcelona on a Budget: A Three-Day Itinerary

Our adventure in Spain really began in Nice, France. If you have been following along with my previous posts, you will know that Barcelona was the third major stop on our tour through Southern Europe in fall 2022. First came a nine-day tour of Italy

Touring the Best of the French Riviera in Three Days

Touring the Best of the French Riviera in Three Days

After our tour through Italy (read about that here), Alyssa and I spent a lovely three (and a half if we’re counting travel) days in the South of France along the French Riviera. I have previously travelled to Paris (read about my nine days in

A (Self-Proclaimed) Local’s Guide to Vancouver

A (Self-Proclaimed) Local’s Guide to Vancouver

This fall I had the unique opportunity to up and move out west to Vancouver for two months with one of my close friends. We both accepted co-op positions at a Vancouver-based company and decided to use our new jobs as an opportunity to travel to and live in a new city. Neither Ali nor I had ever been to the West Coast before this adventure. We received an influx of recommendations from friends and family who had either been out west before or who currently live there, and their recommendations sure didn’t disappoint! I am happy to report that we diligently worked our way through the list and ticked off the majority of the boxes. We also found some cool spots of our own along the way. Here is a summary of the top recommendations that we received and some of our favourite places we discovered along the way. I hope you enjoy! A Rainy Afternoon Thrifting on South Main

A Rainy Afternoon Thrifting on South Main

It was yet another rainy fall Vancouver weekend. What’s different about the rain here versus in Ontario is that the people here are so accustomed to it raining almost all the time that it really doesn’t hinder their day’s plans. In fact, Vancouverites are so

Thanksgiving Weekend on Vancouver Island

Thanksgiving Weekend on Vancouver Island

In my most recent co-op recruiting period I got hired by a Vancouver-based company to complete my third, and final, co-op term of my undergraduate degree. There was an option to work fully remotely from Ontario, or to move out west for a more hybrid

Nine Days in Paris

Nine Days in Paris

Growing up, Paris is one of those cities that you see all the time in the movies. Movies, shows and social media paint a beautiful image of the city, so it’s pretty surreal when you actually arrive there and see it for yourself. It’s kind of like a first trip to New York City, but on an even greater scale. Continue reading Nine Days in Paris

Travelling in the Scottish Highlands (Aberdeen, Inverness, and Skye, oh my!)

Travelling in the Scottish Highlands (Aberdeen, Inverness, and Skye, oh my!)

Alas, we have (finally) reached the last leg of my Scottish journey. I know it has been a while, so let me refresh your memory. When I last wrote of my travels, I shared with you all my wonderful week in London. I do apologize

A Week in London

My Edinburgh Adventure

My Edinburgh Adventure

Two weeks ago I landed back at Toronto Pearson International Airport after being on the other side of the Atlantic for twenty six days.

When my sister made the decision to do a six month exchange in Scotland , I started to make my travel plans. Originally, I had this grand idea that Emma and I would be able to travel all over Europe for months on end and see all the sights, but of course that was a pretty lavish plan and ended up being a bit too much for my 18-year-old going to uni in the fall budget. Sure, I didn’t go backpacking across Europe, but I did get to see an enormous portion of the United Kingdom, which was an incredible experience. This was easily the most spectacular trip I have ever been lucky enough to take and I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to do this. Continue reading My Edinburgh Adventure

Recently I traveled to Montreal with my mom and my godmother to tour McGill University and to have a nice relaxing girls’ weekend. My mom and my godmother both attended
